Best Practices / Considerations

• • Always choose the correct SS sensor range (PSS vs PSSL) based on expected suspended solids levels.
• • Make sure the sensor is clean; particles on the optical path can skew readings.
• • Allow the sensor to stabilize in the sample for accurate readings; 60 s response time means not all change is immediate.
• • Regularly download and back up the logged data using Portalog software.
• • Charge the IPM fully before field use to ensure maximum battery life (8+ hours).
